The Brooch Piercing

The Brooch piercing is a specific kind of surface piercing that is performed just above the breast, usually in the upper chest area, off center.  While not as common as other surface piercings, brooch piercings are still performed and requested today (although mostly by female devotees).  Initial body jewelry used is a staple surface barbell of Titanium 23 Grade purity in varying lengths.

The type of body jewelry worn for brooch piercings is the same as other surface piercings, although some variations can be also incorporated.  Since the Brooch is a type of surface piercing, there is a higher chance of rejection or migration than a standard body piercing.  Healing time: 8 to 10 weeks.
